Our consulting fee formula

Announcement: We now have new way of pricing our work - called "Contract Now, Pay Later" - where you, as a nonprofit, do not have to pay immediately. "Contract Now, Pay Later" is more than a payment option; it's a reflection of my philosophy as an ally of this sector. I believe in building relationships based on trust, understanding, and mutual support. And I have collected enough lived experiences where sometimes the trust needs to be deeper and beyond immediate tangible outputs. At this time, we have space for only 5 nonprofits under this pricing program.

These rates are shared to offer transparency and access to the work we offer.

HOURLY RATES

SOLIDARITY RATE

For organizations with annual budgets up to $500,000.

$120 - 150 PER HOUR

* my analysis and facilitation (meetings etc.) fee are different. E.g., if facilitation fee is $70, then analysis fee is $85.

** I prioritize this price for organizations that are involved in social justice work,  so as to build a community where we can co-exist with love, including communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and all identities that have not been prioritized in the past.

FULL COST RATE

For organizations with annual budgets up to $500,000 and $5 million.
 
$150 - 200 PER HOUR
 
* my analysis and facilitation (meetings etc.) fee are different. E.g., if facilitation fee is $130, then analysis fee is $145.
 

REDISTRIBUTION RATE

For organizations with annual budgets more than $5 million.
 
$200+ PER HOUR
 
* my analysis and facilitation (meetings etc.) fee are different. E.g., if facilitation fee is $180, then analysis fee is $200.

Where does this consulting fee go?

Here is a (rough) breakdown of how this consulting fee supports NamasteData.
 
  • 50% goes to salary
  • 15% goes to health benefits
  • 10% goes to operating expenses
  • 15% goes to funds pool to provide pro-bono consulting and training in the community
  • 10% goes to my continuous learning so I can work better for the community.
