Same Human. New Home.

Dear Human is becoming Data Uncollected — with a little more room to think, write, and be human.
For most of the last 50 months, I have written and sent an email newsletter every month.
I call it the Dear Human newsletter.
And for most of that time, I loved it.
I loved having a place to think with people.
To share something I was noticing. To ask a question. To send a resource. To tell you what I was building.
In fact, if you received one of those emails, you know how much I have loved saying: you and I co-own that space.
But over the past three months, I noticed I was starting to dread writing it.
Not the writing itself.
The production of it.
The sections. The graphics. The links. The announcements. The feeling that every month I had to manufacture a complete little package because that was the rule I had created for myself.
I realized it was all taking me farther away from the joy of writing.
And me being some version of Type A.B.5 as an immigrant woman probably adds a little something to that self-imposed pressure.
It took me only a dozen or so reflections to conclude that I am, in fact, allowed to change arbitrary rules I made for myself.
So now I am.
I am moving the newsletter to Substack and bringing it under a new name: Data Uncollected.
But more importantly, I am changing the platform, the rhythm, and some of the expectations I had built around it.
I want these emails to be a little more like my favorite buffet plate.
Sometimes there will be a lot more dessert.
Sometimes there will be nothing but biryani.
Sometimes I might add a little of everything.
But I do not want consistency to become the price I pay for joy.
This is not really a rebrand.
Same human. New home.
Just a little more room to write in a way that feels alive again.
If Dear Human used to arrive in your inbox, I hope you will come with me.
And if you are new here — welcome. There is room for you too.
